Biocarbon
- the raw material of the future
Biocarbon is finding its way into an ever-growing range of industrial applications, while at the same time making a positive contribution to environmental protection.
Biocarbon is finding its way into an increasing number of industrial applications. It can be used, among other things, as a soil improver, a component of fertilisers and composts, an additive for animal feed, in pharmacy, in cosmetology, in the manufacture of protective products or as a filter material, and also an absorbent for various types of pollution.
The biocarbon produced by our company is characterized by excellent parameters, as confirmed by an accredited laboratory EBC (European Biochar Certificate). The purity of the biocarbon obtained from our machines ranges from 80 to 94% of element C content in the biocarbon mass.
Apart from its excellent physical and chemical properties and a high degree of purity, biocarbon can be used primarily as:
- A component of fertilizers or composts. The biocarbon porous structure and its resistance to an influence of the soil environment makes it possible to create fertilizers based on biocarbon. The fertilizers are mixed with a number of additives and components, permanently remaining in the area of the root system so that they can be easily assimilated by the roots. In this way the fertilizers are not easily washed into lower soil layers, out of reach of plants.
- A soil improver, enhancing soil structure and C:N ratio. The porous structure of the biocarbon grains, which are introduced into the soil, are practically resistant to mineralisation. Thus, the biocarbon generates numerous favourable characteristics for the sorption complex formed in such a way. Consequently, the soil fertility is higher.
- Zero- or low-emission fuel (mixed with carbon). A low content of ash content and a high calorific value of the biocarbon along with a limited alkali content and high milling properties include the fuel into a group of ultra-clean and zero-emission fuels.
- Feed and drug additive. A new extremely promising field of the application for biocarbon is the production of animal feed and medicines. The high sorption capacity of biocarbon when added to feed enables the elimination of many feed additives that are harmful to the welfare of livestock and poultry. Thus, it will improve the scope and scale of the use of animal excrements in agricultural production as well as a negative impact on the environment.
- A filter material and an absorbent for various types of pollutants.
The biocarbon manufacture in our company is shipped in bigbag packaging (approximately filled with 1,3 m3 of the product).n addition, for safety reasons, the humidity of the biocarbon is increased up to 12-16%, both for transport and storage.
The type and method of transportation is always agreed with the customer.
