The NTT-1 Carbonizer is a machine for producing heat from the combustion of biomass waste materials and high-purity biocarbon.

For economic reasons, the device in question is a more cost-effective solution than machines that process biomass completely, producing only heat and/or electricity. An added value affecting the high profitability of the NTT-1 Carbonizer is the generation of large quantities of high-quality biocarbon in the production process instead of ashes.

Our equipment has a thermal power ranging from 2 to 6 MW in the hot flue gas stream with the possibility of a standby operation.

Depending on the raw biomass stream to be processed and its moisture content, our carbonization reactors can be integrated with driers – also patented (optional) and with water or steam recovery boilers (optional), and thus also with turbine sets for the production of electricity (optional).

During the carbonization process, heat is generated at temperatures of up to 1,300oC (if required, it is possible to design an afterburning system capable of generating temperatures of approximately 1,600oC), which can be used as process heat in steam and hot water.

 

The unit enables a wide range of waste processing to be converted into heat and biocarbon such as: 

Agricultural residues
(straw, hay, grass, grains)

Pellets

Food industry waste

Biomass from municipal waste
industrial waste, poultry farms and mushroom farms

Mixture of biomass waste
from coal and/or lignite

Biogas plant digestate
alone or in mixtures with other biomasses to obtain a better heat effect

Such a wide range of feedstock makes the NTT-1 Carbonizer a universal tool for the production of ecological heat and biocarbon (or a carbonized mixture of raw materials of different origin) also with a wide range of applications.

Many years of research, testing and subsequent iterations of implementation into production enabled us to create a machine capable of combined production of high quality biocarbon and heat while maintaining environmental standards. The machine fully complies with the RES regulations.
